Fashion, Beauty, and Everything in Between.

Quick Target Haul.

  1. 2014 Planner- I usually would buy a planner at the start of a new school year, but I would write on it a couple times then stop using it because I tend to remember things in my head. However, I thought I should make it a habit to write things down so I bought one! haha
  2. Essie Nail Polish in Merino Cool-another to add to my collection!
  3. Clean n’ Clear Morning Burst Face wash- Ever since I can remember I’ve been switching around face washes because it wouldn’t work for me, except this one! I use this with my clarisonic and it feels so good.
  4. Herbal Essence Dry Shampoo-I recently got my hair done and needed to maintain and protect it from getting more damaged, so I am trying to limit my hair wash with the help of my dry shampoo!
  5. Cleansing Towelettes- something to help remove my makeup away at night. I already used this and the towelettes are not moist, so it’s harder to remove my makeup.
  6. Tresemme Thermal Hair Protection spray-for extra protection in case it is necessary for me to use a curling iron! lol
  7. Maybelline Baby skin-I’ve been looking at different stores and i finally found one at Target! I heard so many good reviews, so I can’t wait to try it out and hopefully write a review on it.

Julie Van Vu.

Late last night, I was searching for make up contour and highlighting videos on YouTube and I stumbled upon this one channel. Her YouTube name is PRINCESSJOULES, but her real name is Julie Van Vu. I read through her About Me page on her channel and discovered that she is a transgendered woman. I kind of sense from her voice that she was gay, but didn’t really believe myself because she looks just like a real woman and is absolutely gorgeous!

After watching  more of her videos, the one that hit me the most was her DRAW MY LIFE video (I will post it down below). It was eye opening and made me appreciate her even more. Her first videos up on YouTube was when she was still a man and we can see through her latest videos how she starts to transition to a woman. Not only does she have vlogs, fashion, and beauty videos, but also videos about reaching out to other transgendered people and showing them that they can also love themselves. This is why to me and many others, Julie Van Vu, is a role model.   Enough of me blabbing on and on, go check her videos yourself! You will see what I see in her <3

December Beauty Favorites.

vs1tease

I got this during the Black Friday madness for only $25! Out of all the perfumes they had, this was by far my favorite. ‘Tease’ has a blend of frozen pear, black vanilla, and gardenia. It also comes with a cute perfume pump! (1.7 fl oz, $49)loracloracThis definitely has to be one of my most used palettes this month along with my UD Naked 2 of course. The palette includes both matte and shimmer eyeshadows. The eyeshadows are quite pigmented . You can create both simple and dramatic eye looks with the use of one palette. ($42)gobrowbrow

Brows are so important ladies! I got this kit in “Soft Brown”. It comes with a mini brow pencil, tweezers, and clear brow gel. The main product I use for my brow is the Anastasia Brow wiz (my holy grail brow product), but to give my brows a more fuller look and fill any sparse areas, I go over it with the mini brow pencil and finish off with the clear brow gel, which helps the brow hair and color stay in place! ($16)
pixibronzer

I actually got this bronzer from one of my IPSY bags and I have not stopped using it! This one is called “Summertime” and it gives you a naturally sun kissed skin. ($18)

benefitwattI got this as a sample from my Sephora Birthday gift last year and I honestly haven’t used it until this month. I never really used highlighters until this one and oh my it can make such a subtle difference! It’s a nice champagne colored highlighter.  I glide it along my cheeks, bridge of my nose, and my brow bone with my fingers. Definitely gives a lovely glow! I will buy the full size as soon as I’m done with this sample. (Full size, $30)

foundationmac

This foundation is intended for dry skin with sheer to medium coverage, which I love love love! My skin tends to get super dry during the winter, so this foundation is a life saver. Because of how lightweight it is, it doesn’t seem like you’re wearing any foundation! Incase you’re wondering I am in NC 37.($34)

stylestyle

‘Style’ hands down has to be one of my favorite MAC blushes. It has a nice coral/peach tone to it with gold sheen. It gives you that added boost of warmth on your face! Perfect for any skin tone. ($21)

mascaramascara

I ran out of Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ Mascara and wanted to try something new. This mascara by MAC is called in Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash. To me, it does last pretty long. It doesn’t leave any clumps or smudges! I usually don’t use an eyelash curler, but I do when I want to give my lashes an extra boost. It’s also easy to remove after a long day! ($21)
mufemufe

I walked into Sephora asking for help about an issue I had. My face tends to get oily towards the end of the day and I asked the worker for a recommendation for a non expensive setting powder and she recommended this one by MUFE . She applied it on my face (which was oily by then) and BAM the oiliness was all gone. A small amount of the product on your brush is all that is needed. Too much will leave noticeable white marks on your face and of course you don’t want that! ($16)

smashboxphotofinish

I tried this primer from Smash box particularly for winter, since my skin tends to get drier. Once you apply it on, it does leave my skin a cooling, refreshing sensation. The primer is smooth and helps moisturize any dry areas on my face and remove flakiness! (mini, $10)

vs copylip

Wet n’ Wild is by far my favorite drug store brand for lipsticks. It has a great range of colors and this one is called Mocha-licious (914C). It is medium-deep brown with hints of red. It glides on so smooth and the best part is it’s only $1.99!

and that’s the end of my december beauty favorites! <3
